10 Best WWE Heel Turns Of The 2010s
6. AJ Styles - Raw 2016
After being turned on twice in this list already, it's about time AJ got his revenge.
AJ Styles set the wrestling world alight when he turned up in the 2016 Royal Rumble, arriving in WWE for the first time since a handful of matches in 2001.
Styles was received incredibly well upon his debut, but his babyface act was beginning to grow dull by the summer. This changed when he shared the ring with John Cena in May.
The sight of the face of WWE and the face of non-WWE standing face-to-face for the first time was a truly incredible moment and one many fans never thought they would see. The moment was interrupted by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, who threatened to beat down Styles and Cena.
AJ and John looked ready to fight the former IWGP Tag Team Champions, but swerve! AJ laid a beatdown on Cena with Gallows and Anderson at his side. This led to the original formation of The Club and the brilliant Styles-Cena feud that ran throughout most of 2016 and into early 2017 as well.
A big turn followed up by a big feud with a big star; AJ's character was in need of a revamp and this was exactly the way to do it.
