This would be Diesel's penultimate performance at In Your House. His last would come in a well-worked bout opposite Shawn Michaels at In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies. Whilst that was a strong effort, his collision with Bret Hart at In Your House 6 was arguably even better. Diesel looked like he had a point to prove before leaving for WCW months later. Of course, it didn't hurt that the match took place inside a Steel Cage, but that wasn't the only reason for its success. Previously, Hart and Diesel had proved fitting opponents at the 1995 Survivor Series event, and they shone once again in February, 1996. There was just something that clicked that evening, and it helped cap off what had actually been a decent show. Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart had been an excellent addition to the mid card, but Hart vs. Diesel inside the cage was a fitting main event. It's interesting that Diesel became a better performer once he dropped the WWF Title to Bret at Survivor Series, almost as though the pressure was firmly off his shoulders. This was indicative of that.
