10 Best WWE In Your House Matches Ever

4. Steve Austin vs. Vader vs. The Undertaker vs. Bret Hart (February 16, 1997)

1997 marked a year of change for the World Wrestling Federation. The likes of Bret Hart would eventually turn heel, Steve Austin began his march towards super-stardom, and D-Generation X was formed later in the year. In February, the company presented In Your House 13: Final Four, and it was caught between the old and the new. On the undercard, there were saccharine characters like Leif Cassidy and Rocky Maivia (ironically, given his important role in helping change how the WWF presented itself later). They contrasted heavily with the blood-soaked main event, a masterclass in brawling and drama. The idea was simple, Shawn Michaels had been forced to forfeit the WWF Title due to injury, so a vicious quartet would battle it out at In Your House. Steve Austin, Bret Hart, The Undertaker and Vader were presumably all up for it that night, because the match was an absolute stormer. In the end, a new champion was crowned, and fans had more than received value for money. At the time, this wasn't a common kind of match in the promotion, which only makes it stand out more against the occasional cartoon like backdrop of the WWF.
