10 Best WWE Moments From Wrestlers Who Just Got Released
6. The Hurricane Returns
If you grew up watching wrestling during the early to mid-2000s, then you'll definitely remember The Hurricane. A goofy superhero character portrayed by the talented Gregory Helms, he delivered a lot of very memorable moments, and a backstage segment with The Rock is a fantastic example of one that's still talked about today.
However, what we're looking back at today is his Royal Rumble return in 2018 which saw him step back into a WWE ring for the first time since he was released in 2010. This was one of those surprise entrants that definitely left a lasting impact, and seeing The Hurricane face off with "Super Cena" was an absolute blast.
A year later, Helms was hired as a producer by WWE, but returned as The Hurricane both to try and steal the 24/7 Championship from R-Truth and for the RAW Reunion episode.
Nothing quite topped that Royal Rumble entrance, though, and while anyone who isn't a fan of his probably didn't get much of a kick out that, the rest of us definitely appreciated seeing The Hurricane fly back into the squared circle one more time.
