10 Best WWE Pay-Per-View Debuts Ever

8. Tazz (Royal Rumble 2000)

Had anyone suggested to ECW faithful that resident 'Human Wrecking Machine' bad-ass Taz would be a comedic commentator just one year following his WWF debut, a fight would have surely broken out. Ignore the injuries and disregard the hokey announce style that completely stripped Tazz (with added 'z') of any menace though, because his debut was sensational.

Booked to end Kurt Angle's winning streak at the 2000 Royal Rumble, Tazz received a huge response from the Madison Square Garden crowd and looked like the man by throwing Angle around the ring. In just over three minutes, Tazz had choked out an Olympic Gold Medalist and was off to a winning start.

This was the only moment during Tazz's entire WWE run during when he looked like he belonged. The ECW aura cultivated by Paul Heyman was laid on thick at the 2000 Rumble and - even though that would wear off quickly - Tazz's first showing in McMahon land was outstanding.
