10 Best WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Past Decade
4. WrestleMania XXVI
WrestleMania XXV was the very definition of a one-match show. The whole event was lacklustre, with the exception of the Shawn Michaels-Undertaker match. Many considered that bout to be the finest match in WWE history, and no rematch could be more anticipated.
The next year, WWE built the show around Michaels and The Undertaker, part two - only this time, if Michaels lost, he would be forced to retire. The outcome wasn't exactly a secret (people knew that HBK wanted to step away from the ring to spend more time with his growing children), but the match was every bit as exciting as the first.
Worries that the men couldn't live up to expectations were dashed as Michaels hit a moonsault to the outside and followed up with Sweet Chin Music. Eventually, though, Undertaker ended HBK's career with a jumping Tombstone.
Elsewhere on the card, very strong John Cena-Batista and Edge-Chris Jericho title matches filled out the show, and the last-ever WrestleMania Money in the Bank match provided some early excitement. WrestleMania XXVI turned out to be the show WrestleMania XXV wished it had been.
