A strange one this, as you'd be forgiven for assuming that any list that has 'Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle' in it will have that match listing following a number one. They met in Toronto at SummerSlam 2004 in a WrestleMania XX re-match, although the real fire had been thrown on the feud whilst Angle was acting-GM of SmackDown.

Angle had screwed Eddie out of the WWE Championship, and as a result the two faced off here. The problem was that Angle was more than likely getting his win back, making the story a little too heavily skewed in favour of the heel. The work they did was excellent too. It just seemed as though there something missing.

Their mat work was excellent and the finish was great, but in between it felt as though a chunk of the match had been lopped off somewhere. It didn't help that Luther Reigns was ringside too, and his lumbering presence always dragged things down. Guerrero attempted to replay his WrestleMania boot trick but was unsuccessful, eventually tapping out to Angle and the Angle Lock.
