10 Best WWE Raw Brand PPVs Ever
7. Backlash 2005
Raw had been on an incredible momentum tear since the post-Survivor Series hint of friction within Evolution, and the quality of the show as a whole remained strong.
After a crowd-pleasing WrestleMania 21, the good times rolled on with Backlash. Strong outings in the undercard with Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho (Intercontinental title) and Edge vs. Chris Benoit (last man standing) already put the show in higher esteem.
It was a treat to see Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels form a temporary super team, even if their match with Muhammad Hassan and Daivari wasn't anything special. Batista retained the World Heavyweight title over Triple H in a 'Mania rematch that ended with a bit of controversy, and would be rectified with a much better match that will be visited much later in this list.
