10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Debuts
8. The AAA Exchange Quartet (1997)
These days, WWE's roster is so bloated that they could probably fill four separate 30-man (or woman) free-for-alls before they even think about calling up a rival promotion - but back in 1997, things were a little different.
At this time, WWE was running an exchange programme with Mexican promotion AAA, which generously allowed several of its biggest stars to pop up at January's Royal Rumble.
A smattering of them featured on the under-card, with four - Pierroth at number 9, Mil Mascaras at 11, Cibernetico at 15 and, perhaps best of all, Latin Lover at 17 - all popping up in the eponymous headline match, lasting a combined total of just over 20 minutes.
The most productive cameo came courtesy of Mascaras, a veritable legend of lucha libre south of the border. As well as scoring an impressive two eliminations (albeit both of them on fellow AAA debutants), he also managed to take himself out of the WrestleMania running by performing a dive to the outside of the ring - to avoid having anyone else eliminate him, supposedly.
