10 Best WWE Survivor Series Grand Finales That Didn’t Happen
8. 2012 - Athleticism Dominates
Faces: Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel (Team Clay) Heel: Dolph Ziggler The foursome of Mysterio, Sin Cara, Kidd and Gabriel were all a part of Brodus Clay's team against Tensai's team. Clay was eliminated, yet his foursome of high flyers were able to survive in their match. In the other elimination match, Ziggler managed to win for the team that he captained against Mick Foley's team (Foley didn't wrestle in the match). That showed how much faith WWE had in Ziggler at that point in his career. It was a few months after Ziggler won the Money in the Bank briefcase and it looked like WWE was finally going to push this guy to the top. How I Would Have Booked It: This would have been fun to watch since they were five of the most athletic guys on the roster at that time. Since Sin Cara was still fairly new at that point, it would make sense to really put him over as a survivor at the end. I'd end it with Mysterio and Sin Cara working together to beat Ziggler, so the two masked men would be the final survivors.
