For the first time in the beleaguered Cruiserweight brand's existence, 205 Live is in a genuinely exciting place at the moment.

Enzo Amore's departure has forced a full-on reboot, and with new General Manager Drake Maverick announcing a 16-man title tournament, the show seems to be taking on a format more in-line with the Cruiserweight Classic's original blueprint. Granted, it has only been a couple of weeks, but 205 has delivered several great matches in 2018, and the tourney promises the show will be a reliable source of good wrestling heading into WrestleMania 34.

Tyler Bate and TJP worked an outstanding main event this week, and the quality should only improve as the competition progresses. Time restrictions mean we probably won't see any five-star classics, but as long as the action is fast, fluid, and exciting, fans will be over the moon.

As far as the tournament itself goes, Cedric Alexander is the most popular wrestler in the division, and will likely make it to the finals, where he'll meet Hideo Itami. If given 15-20 minutes and no instructions other than "have a great match," we've no doubt they'll deliver.
