10 Biggest Fan Complaints WWE Don’t Actually Want To Fix

7. "That's Not Very Ethical!"

Daivari Brothers Greatest Royal Rumble
WWE

WWE didn't just run to Saudi Arabia when the took the truckload of money in conjunction with the country's 'Vision 2030' - they sprinted over there and took every last bell and whistle with them.

Greatest Royal Rumble was a show unlike any other in recent memory. It had pyro bursting out of its every pore (more on that later), but gross geopolitical ramifications were stifled as WWE turned a black mark on their Women's Revolution to green.

Vince McMahon scripted Ted Dibiase to infer that everybody had a price, presumably because he himself genuinely believed it to be true. He found his own in 2018, and it 'just' turned out to be the years of discerning effort from his daughter and son-in-law to completely reframe treatment of women in the industry. Well, with a caveat of trousering millions and millions of dollars in the process.

It's not new ground for WWE to abandon ethics of course, but their first financially-motivated nosedive in recent memory was a reminder to older fans far more familiar with its indecent past.
