Fred Ottoman appeared in the 1991 Rumble under his Tugboat gimmick. As you likely know, Ottoman is a familiar name on flop listicles, usually under the guise of The Shockmaster. The final four entrants for 1991 were a string of disappointments with Bushwhacker Luke, Brian Knobbs, and The Warlord, preceding Tugboat's appearance.

Tugboat homed in on Earthquake in the match, the man who he would win the Tag Team Championship with; the only WWE title Ottoman held during his time with the company. He spent a large portion of his brief time in the match pinning Earthquake in the corner.

Tugboat also aimlessly threw shots at various opponents before he finally clashed with Hogan. He actually nearly eliminated ‘The Hulkster’ twice. However, on the second attempt, he mistakenly thought he’d succeeded. Yet, Hogan stayed safe on the apron. While Tugboat was distracted by Rick Martel, Hogan snuck up and tipped him over the top.

Tugboat’s time in the match was uneventful and looks even worse on reflection as we now have a number of notable big man performances to compare it to. But at least it isn’t Shockmaster bad.
