10 Biggest Main Events In WWE SmackDown History

3. Undertaker Vs. Batista (11 May 2007)

Undertaker and Batista were accused by some of sharing a disappointing match at WrestleMania 23, but give them their due: They really made up for it in subsequent encounters, among them a thrilling Steel Cage match on the 11 May edition of SmackDown a month later.

Unfortunately, this match as a contest has been over-shadowed by a couple of things. The first of them is the undeniable fact that, however hard Michael Cole tries to convince us otherwise, there's absolutely no way on earth that their feet both touched the floor at the same time.

The second is that after the bout, Mark Henry came to the ring to beat up The Undertaker (for some reason), after which newly-crowned Mr Money in the Bank Edge joined the festivities. He cashed in his title shot as the Deadman headed off to the treatment table, setting up WrestleMania XXIV's main event in the process.

All of that (except, perhaps, for the dodgy officiating) only adds to what was one of the best half hours in SmackDown history, though. And considering that 'Taker was nursing an injury at the time, you have to take your hat off to all involved.
