Long before he was the 'Million Dollar Man' of WWF fame, Ted DiBiase was considered one of the finest in-ring workers of his generation. The gimmick created by Vince McMahon proved perfect for him, but DiBiase wasn't ready to give in to the lure of changing his performances. He continued to sell like a champ for his babyface opponents. Due to the theatrical nature of his character, DiBiase was perfectly placed to sell, sell, sell to men like Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan and others. This also helped him out later when he began winding down his active in-ring career, joining forces with IRS to form the Money Inc tag-team. There, DiBiase was regularly the victim of 'hot tag' comebacks by the good guys. He'd bounce around with reckless abandon, but also used his face to express fear, agony and frustration. On more than one occasion, DiBiase would be found falling like a giant tree that had been cut down. This would normally come after soaking up a series of baabyface strikes, selling the impact of the final blow. He was also notable for perfecting a forward flip upon being punched in the stomach after trying to land a Double Axe Handle from the middle turnbuckle.
