10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2019

5. SmackDown's Fresh Presentation

What Was Promised: WWE went all out for SmackDown's jump from the USA Network to FOX in October, and even went so far as to have clueless sports anchors talk about "big personalities" and "bone-bending action" during NFL games. Through all this, talk intensified that the company would change their blue brand to reflect the network it was on.

A more realistic, less soap-opera based style sounded exciting.

How They Broke It: As you might've guessed by now, the thought that WWE would change anything about their creative formula and present SmackDown as a completely different product to Raw was b*llocks. After a star-laden start with The Rock, Cain Velasquez and more, they reverted to type.

There's pretty much nothing to differentiate SmackDown from Raw now. Less than three months into the show's run on FOX, it's SmackDown Live circa May/June only with prettier graphics and better cameras. That's about it. So much for a slick new 'real sports' presentation.
