10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2019
4. Definitive Draft Separation
What Was Promised: Anyone who lived through either the 2002 or 2016 versions of a WWE Draft would've been rolling their eyes when announcers, authority figures and wrestlers claimed there'd be no brand jumping afterwards in October 2019. If a worker was drafted to Raw, they wouldn't be able to appear on SmackDown, and vice versa.
How They Broke It: The 'Wild Card Rule' earlier this year was insulting enough, but now WWE are claiming that managers can break the terms of brand-specific contracts whenever they like. That's why Sami Zayn appeared by Mojo Rawley's side on the latest episode of Raw, and it's why more wrestlers will likely follow suit shortly.
That whole separation thing didn't last long.
There's no such thing as definitive brand rosters in WWE. They cannot seem to stick to that for longer than a few months without getting bored, introducing some bogus excuse for cross-pollination and pretending it's something fans demand of the product.
