After the WWE stock dropped like a boulder in mid-May, you knew bad times were on the horizon. WWE had become talent-hoarders in the previous few years, but their excessive devaluation meant that talents had to go. In all, at least ten performers would be shown the door in a brief time-frame. JTG would come to regret answering his phone that day.

Some of them turned out fine in new places, including future TNA World Champion Drew "Galloway" McIntyre, TNA heavyweight Brodus "Tyrus" Clay, and daredevil Evan Bourne, who took his skyward leaps to Ring of Honor and New Japan as Matt Sydal once more. Others, like Brian "Curt Hawkins" Myers and Teddy Long, quickly made their mark on the shoot interview circuit. McIntyre's 3MB teammate Jinder Mahal has taken to touring internationally.
