10 Booking Steps For Asuka On WWE's Main Roster

3. A Champion Again

Billed as a 'Clash Of The Champions', the now-former SmackDown Live! titleholder squares off with, and defeats Alexa Bliss in her first official match as a Raw superstar.

Mirroring her dominant display over Carmella in her main roster bow that scored her the blue brand's title, Asuka is simply too strong, quick and technically proficient for 'Little Miss Bliss' to handle. As Asuka celebrates with yet another title following yet another relatively straightforward victory, the commentators blindly speculate on if anybody really can ever beat her.

The following evening on Raw, Kurt Angle presents Asuka as the new Women's Champion for the brand, with the 'Empress Of Tomorrow' again confidently predicting assured defeat for anybody on the roster. Bayley interrupts, issuing a challenge for the title, but her former NXT rival astonishingly says 'No', and leaves to boos.

Speculation is rampant following the rejection, with many questioning if Asuka believes Bayley is the one that could actually dethrone her after coming so close in their epic NXT bouts. The Champion brushes the claims aside, merely suggesting that she's beaten 'The Hugger' enough to not need to fight that battle again.

Bayley naturally cuts a frustrated figure about the decision, but her best friend suddenly throws her own hat in the ring.
