10 Booking Steps For WWE Monday Night Raw (Oct 12)

1. Dolph Ziggler Teases Heel Turn On John Cena

At the tail end of Raw, Dolph Ziggler accidentally cracked John Cena with a Superkick. Cena had been facing the challenge of Big E for his WWE United States Title. The match itself was decent fare, nothing special yet hardly unwatchable. The addition of the botched shot from Ziggler opens up the possibility of a Cena vs. Dolph feud over the former's belt. In other news, Dolph hasn't exactly been acting like a stereotypical babyface recently. Not only did he parade Lana in front of Rusev like a trophy, he also became upset when the big Bulgarian seemed to move on and find a new love interest. Handing Summer Rae various gifts and generally floating around her, Ziggler has appeared more like a heel than a good guy. There's been talk that Cena's confusion over Ziggler's fondness for his ex, Nikki Bella will play a huge role in the next season of Total Divas. Cena is of course in a relationship behind the scenes with Bella, something which could play into this particular story. Ziggler could comment about the history between he and Nikki, subtlety showing his true colours as someone who will do whatever it takes to get to the top.
