Hopefully following Battleground, WWE won't just forget about Darren Young. Given that Rusev, the current WWE United States Champion, has been drafted to Raw, it's unlikely that Young will topple The Miz and become WWE Intercontinental Champ on the pay-per-view. He shouldn't just be disregarded like a loser though, there's potential in his union with Bob Backlund.

WWE can kill the proverbial two birds with one stone with this segment. Firstly, Kevin Owens can defeat Young in a hard-fought match. Later backstage, Chris Jericho could laugh at Young and Backlund, leading to a future Highlight Reel skit and possible feud between the pair.

In other news, Owens would be approached by Sami Zayn after his match. Having brawled heavily at Battleground, Zayn had managed to beat his former best friend. Now tied at one win apiece on WWE pay-per-view, Owens wants to settle things with another match.

Meanwhile, Zayn thinks it's time for the rivals to put things behind them and move on. Due to this mindset, he proposes a truce, and says he'll give Owens some time to think about it.
