7. How Will Brock Respond To Orton?
A few weeks ago, this feud was looking like simply a battle
between two big-name WWE stars who hadn’t faced each other since they were
rookies 14 years ago. That in itself might have been enough to sell the match,
unspectacular though it might be.
However, things took an interesting turn recently when Lesnar, fresh off a surprising win at UFC 200, twice failed anti-doping drug tests, tainting his victory and raising questions of whether WWE would suspend him. With the suspension issue resolved (he won’t be suspended), the questions turned to whether WWE would just ignore the issue altogether.
Randy Orton wasted little time in answering that question,
dropping a “No enhancement needed” line in his return promo at Battleground.
Whether that will become a recurring issue remains to be seen, but it couldn’t
have been well-received by Brock, either in storyline or real life. That could
make for a must-see moment when the Beast returns to Raw Monday.
