10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Oct 3)

7. Will Cruiserweights Get To Define Selves?

WWE has done a decent job of making sure that the debuting cruiserweights the past couple weeks have had a chance to introduce themselves, either through inset promos, an intro video, or in the case of Brian Kendrick and Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins, a backstage segment.

All of that has been nice and provided a little bit of depth to the characters beyond the resumes that Michael Cole and Corey Graves rattle off during matches. But will we see the cruiserweights continue to get opportunities to define themselves and develop characters? We saw Kendrick – a longtime former WWE star who redefined himself a couple times during his previous runs – do a nice job of giving his character an edge.

That’s the sort of thing other cruiserweights need to do to stand out and not just be interchangeable spot monkeys for casual fans. Give them a reason to care about your beyond being awesome in the ring.
