10 Completely UNHINGED Moments From WWE Video Games

3. Samoa Joe’s Bionic Arm (WWE 2K20)

A lot of people looked at reviews, social media commentary and YouTube clips of WWE 2K20 before thumbing their nose at 2K's output. Bugs were rife, and the whole project was doomed as soon as Yuke's pulled their resources. 2K and Visual Concepts soldiered on, but they launched a game so foul and smelly it should've come in a sealed plastic bag.

The MyCareer was suitably outrageous.

Your character, Tre, is responsible for Samoa Joe's misfortune, and the current AEW man is left fuming. Later, Joe pops back up like The Terminator and reveals that he visited a "secret facility" to get a robot arm (?!) so he could exact revenge for past transgressions. This is all presented to the player like a realistic revenge plot.

Things get even more OTT when Joe uses his bionic limb to choke Tre out as others stand around helplessly. The canned crowd reactions to all of this add unintended hilarity to the cutscenes. You'd think these people were watching a back-and-forth banger in-ring the way they're 'ooh-ing' and 'aah-ing' at every word.

Naturally, Tre roars back to defeat Joe/the T-1000.
