10. EA's UFC 2 Still Has Rousey On The Cover

In hindsight, it was rather silly to announce that Ronda Rousey would grace the cover of Electronic Art's UFC 2 just days before she was defending her title at UFC 193. And when she lost, fans immediately began talking about the "EA curse" - which is technically known as the Madden curse, but it goes something like this: if you're on the cover of an EA sports game, you're destined to lose. Now, that in itself is not the problem. The problem here is that it looks a bit silly to have the former champion on the cover of your game. There are probably production lines and deadlines behind this decision, which is why it all goes back to timing, but in any case, EA have said they're sticking by Rousey and keeping her on the cover. If she loses in her comeback fight, whenever it takes place, however, they're going to have considerable egg on their face. It shouldn't impact sales too much - those who want the game will just by it - it's just an image thing.
