10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

9. Booker T

Copyright: WWE Royal Rumble 2010 Blu-rayCopyright: WWE Royal Rumble 2010 Blu-rayHe's one of the finest World Champions of this generation (given how all of his reigns were seriously significant, both in WWE and WCW), but Booker T is no stranger to the legendary Wellness Policy, either. He was embroiled in the legendary Signature Pharmacy scandal, where a number of wrestlers were believed to be getting prescription drugs to clients without prescriptions. The WWE came down really hard on a bulk of stars - of which Booker T was one - and they hit them with suspensions. But Booker denied being a customer of the pharmacy, and he decided he didn't want to serve a suspension when he'd done nothing wrong. So he decided to tender his resignation with the company, and the WWE agreed. It's sad that one of the finest champions in recent years had to end it with the company this way - in fact, it was a real loss for the WWE, who had him feuding with Triple H at that time. But thankfully, he would make a triumphant return to the company in 2011, with that resignation hopefully never happening again.
