9. Funk And Foley Roll Back The Years - One Night Stand 2006
When crazy bumps are brought up, the names of Mick Foley and Terry Funk are probably two of the first that spring to mind. The willingness of both men to put their bodies through unimaginable damage made them legends of ECW, so it was only fitting that they treated the fans to a reprise during the promotion's resurgence under the WWE banner. Turning heel and aligning himself with Edge, Foley found himself facing the team of Funk and Tommy Dreamer in front of the historically bloodthirsty Hammerstein Ballroom crowd. They would not go home disappointed. The match featured various staples of hardcore wrestling as expected, but things were kicked up a notch when Edge and Foley brought a barbed-wire covered board into play. All four men took shots from the weapon to some degree, but the worst was saved for the two veterans. Mick - having already prevented a bump by simply putting his arms into the barbed wire to stop his momentum (such an obvious solution!) - was hit with several shots from Funk's wire-covered two-by-four. It was on fire of course. This is ECW we're talking about. Foley tried to escape to the apron, but found himself blasted out of the ring and onto the treacherous board below. To make matters worse, Edge then sent Funk along a similar path, shoving him on top of his rival. Both men ended up in an ungodly tangle, blood legitimately spilling from their arms as they tried to scramble away. They were eventually pulled free by their respective partners at the end of the match, both men selling the damage tremendously. It was an unquestionably crazy bump, but one made unique by it's relatively slow nature.
