10 Crazy WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Theories You Need To Hear

3. Shayna To Dominate

Shayna Baszler has dominated NXT since arriving in the brand back in 2017. With her time as NXT Women's Champion now finally at an end and a move to Raw or SmackDown seemingly imminent, one way to instantly shoot Baszler to the moon would be for her to win the women's Royal Rumble match.

While there's plenty of buzz about the Queen of Spades' Four Horsewomen pal Ronda Rousey making her hotly-anticipated return at the Royal Rumble PPV, you shouldn't sleep on Shayna Baszler. With Baszler turning 40 years old this August, the WWE is going to pull the trigger on the former UFC fighter sooner rather than later.

One theory on how to mark Shayna's Rumble appearance as a big deal, would be to have the two-time NXT Women's Champion start at #1 and outlast all 29 other competitors on her way to winning the over-the-top extravaganza and cementing herself a spot at WrestleMania.

The seeds have already been sown for Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler, and having a dominant Royal Rumble win for Baszler would be the next step in furthering this rivalry - particularly if Ronda Rousey's WWE return isn't on the cards anytime soon.

Should, as mentioned previously in this list, Ronda return and screw over Becky Lynch, that then opens up Charlotte Flair as a likely WrestleMania opponent for Shayna. And already, Baszler and Flair have shown that they have some great chemistry, as highlighted whenever the pair tangled in the build to last year's Survivor Series.
