10 Current Superstars WWE Has No Idea What To Do With
7. Sin Cara
Sin Cara is far likelier to make headlines for his backstage antics than anything he gets up to on screen these days. 2016 saw him become embroiled in backstage scuffles with Simon Gotch and Chris Jericho, and he was ordered to take anger management classes as a result. He has been restricted to a peripheral role on Main Event ever since, and hasn’t appeared on Raw since December 12th.
Cara had a brief rivalry with Braun Strowman last year, but he was promptly destroyed. He entered the Cruiserweight division afterwards, and while this should have resulted in at least a minor push, he’s yet to appear on a single episode of 205 Live. His last Cruiserweight division match was back in November, and it looks like those plans have been nixed.
Perhaps it’s surprising that Sin Cara still has a job given his backstage struggles, but WWE have shown no sign of cutting him loose. Instead, he’s just another guy on the payroll that the company just can’t find a spot for. The character’s popularity has unquestionably declined since the former Hunico took the mask in 2013, and splitting the Lucha Dragons has once again cast Sin Cara into the wilderness. A future on WWE’s C-shows awaits, and it’s clear that WWE won’t be doing anything big with Sin Cara anytime soon.
