10 Current Superstars WWE Has No Idea What To Do With

6. Heath Slater & Rhyno

Heath Slater’s free agent redemption arc was a highlight of SmackDown’s early post-draft shows, but it always had a limited shelf-life. There was nowhere for him and Rhyno to go after becoming SmackDown Tag Team Champions other than back down the ladder, and that’s exactly where they’ve landed.

Beauty & The Man-Beast have been completely directionless since dropping the titles to Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. It’s not their fault, of course, and the duo are as energised as ever when they appear on-screen, but the story reached its natural conclusion awhile ago. There’s very little for them to do at the moment, and they’ve become just another team in SmackDown’s lacklustre division.

It’d be easy to lump the likes of The Vaudevillains and Ascension in here as well, but it looks like WWE are content with keeping them on as enhancement talents at the moment. Slater & Rhyno used to mean something, however, and they’ve been reduced to nothingness.

It looked like WWE were going to split them up following the title loss, but Rhyno soon forgot about his frustration towards Slater. They’ve missed the boat on that particularly story, and it’s tough to tell where the duo will be a few months from now.
