10 Current WWE Superstars That Aren't Hurt By Losses

2. John Cena

John Cena is often referred to as "this generation's Hulk Hogan" and for the most part, it's an accurate statement. One big difference between them is the number of losses Hogan suffered compared to Cena: a molehill vs. a mountain, respectively.

To be fair, it's a much different time than it was in the '80s and '90s; storylines are written much faster and there is tons more content to produce for the multiple WWE television programs, and that's not even to mention the WWE Network. Plus, you can't fault the performer for when they were born and although Hogan may have lost more matches had he participated in today's wrestling climate, John Cena actually has, and he's done it incredibly well.

Whether it was Batista, Edge, Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt, Brock Lesnar, Rusev, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, or Alberto Del Rio, Cena's put them all over (and more) yet he still remains the face of the WWE. Remember when he lost to Tensai? If that didn't hurt him, nothing will.

Despite these losses, his matches are still seen as the main event, no matter their place on the card. Regardless of the outcome, Cena has cemented his WWE legacy and future losses will not hurt him.
