10 Current WWE Superstars That Belong In Another Era

8. Braun Strowman - 1998-2001 WWF

Far from suggesting that Braun Strowman's suffering particularly in his own time, 'The Monster Among Men's brand of chaos is borne out of WWE's Attitude Era (particularly Vince Russo's) obsession with outside-the-ring attacks.

Russo once infamously joked that wrestling would be perfect if they could just get rid of the ring, but Strowman's recent work suggests he may not have been as wide of the mark as most originally thought.

'The Monster Among Men' looks wicked destroying anybody or anything, but never more so than when he's in a multi-camera shoot away from the ring. Existing in his own universe of believability, his cinematic abuse of The Miz after surviving another attempt on his life last year was a triumph beyond all conceivable possibility.

Stone Cold Steve Austin was permitted to drive and destroy just about any vehicle he fancied during the ballsiest days of the the Attitude Era. Creative deserve credit for all they throw at Braun (that he then promptly throws further), but it gleefully stretches the imagination to think of how further they could go without the shackles of PG or with the wild competitive mind of a McMahon in the heat of battle.
