10 Deadly Mistakes WWE Must NOT Make Before WrestleMania XL
4. Still Fighting Forever
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have wrestled 18 televised singles matches in WWE; that number rises to 40 if you factor in tag team matches and 48 if you include multi-man fracases.
It's too much.
Their matches are no longer as unexampled as they were during their lauded Battleground 2016 collision. This marked only their fifth singles match under the WWE banner, and it was breathtaking. It laid the groundwork for what a Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn match should look like. Unfortunately, this meant everything that followed found it insurmountable to match it.
The above GIF, for instance, while once a cool-as-f**k spot that illuminated the contempt they held for each other, progressively turned into a humdrum spot, churned out whenever Owens and Zayn locked horns.
It's tiresome.
Thankfully, the duo are now the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, their days of squabbling and throwing Dark Order goober fists over. WWE, in dethroning The Usos as the champions, have left Owens and Zayn in a precarious position. Their involvement in The Bloodline angle is evidently not finished, and here's hoping WWE thinks of something creatively engaging for them in the coming weeks and months.
