10 Dream Matches If The Rock Ever Returns To WWE

1. Bray Wyatt (Firefly Funhouse Match)

Just take a deep breathe, sit down, drink a glass of water to rehydrate yourself, and then imagine, imagine Bray Wyatt deconstructing the Rock’s career like he did John Cena’s. The sheer intrigue, the depth and the nuances Bray could explore will make this one of the greatest things WWE has ever done.

And the reason why this would be so amazing is because while Wyatt had that special connection with Cena, with Rock there is a very interesting divergence point that he would absolutely feast on. Back in the day when Rock’s initial face run had flopped miserably, partially thanks to the character and partially because of that haircut which was clearly inspired by a pineapple, Rock asked for the chance to turn heel. He requested Vince to be given creative freedom, Vince agreed and then went all in on that.

The first part of that happened with Bray as well. He was allowed to reinvent his character in ways he alone could have ever conceived. But the second part is where the key difference lies. Because no matter how many times Wyatt came up with something amazing, Vince would never have the confidence to invest fully in him. His pushes would always be half-hearted. He consistently lost or went 50-50 in feuds he should have been dominating. And he never got to own the main event spot in the way he deserved.

Hence, a Firefly Funhouse Match, where Bray gets to dissect the career of a man who got everything he didn’t, would be nothing short of incredible.
