10 Dream Wrestling Matches Fans Just Missed Out On
It's painful how close these epic matches came.
Throughout wrestling history, there have been a literal ton of matches which grappling fans have desperately wanted to see. Some of these, such as Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair, would eventually take place, albeit in other companies - whereas Hogan and Flair wouldn't meet as initially proposed at WrestleMania VIII, they would finally clash when Hulk joined WCW in 1994. Since it became public news that Sting had signed with WWE in 2014, the idea of the "Dream Match", a bout so tasty that it should come with an after dinner mint, has started to be talked about once more. Many were under the impression that should Sting ever join WWE, his automatic first choice opponent would be The Undertaker, but now that bout is in danger of never happening at all. There have been so many matches which - whilst they would have been unbelievable - just didn't happen. The reasons are varied, and this list looks at 10 of the biggest examples of clashes fans really wanted, but wouldn't end up getting. Some were teased on television, before being cruelly whisked away, whilst others are simply ones which should have happened, but for whatever reason just didn't come to pass. At this time of year, fans love to give their idea of what would make the perfect WrestleMania card, but just check out this lineup!
