10 Dream WWE Matches (That Will Never Happen)
5. Seth Rollins Vs. Shawn Michaels
In his initial push, Rollins was seen as the cerebral heir to Triple H, but it’s another former D-Generation Xer that he would really shine with in the ring. With a shared penchant for stealing the show, particularly at WrestleMania, a prime Shawn Michaels vs. Seth Rollins could be a match for the ages.
Both have been divisive figures during their time in the industry, but even an ardent critic would be hard pushed to deny that Michaels and Rollins are two of the great performers. They both boast a true all-rounder skillset, comfortable with high flying spots, impact finishers, and mat grappling. They can flit between face and heel expertly, and while Rollins hasn’t reached Michaels’ unparalleled level of ring psychology and storytelling, we’ve seen him raise his game time and again for the big occasions.
Booking around Rollins has been questionable of late but he is without a doubt one of the premier talents in WWE. And while Michaels has shown once that he’s willing to come out of retirement, the reception given to his last comeback will likely make him think twice before stepping back into the ring, no matter how well matched the opponent.
