10 Early Contenders To Win WWE Money In The Bank 2017

4. Shinsuke Nakamura

It’s hard to tell what SmackDown have planned for Shinsuke Nakamura at the moment. ‘The King Of Strong Style’ has been quiet since joining the main roster, and while his first few weeks were fine, this week’s segment with Dolph Ziggler was a disaster. The Michael Jackson insults did nothing to build anticipation for their eventual match, and at this stage, WWE might as well get Ziggler vs. Nakamura over with as soon as possible.

But Nakamura is a natural superstar. His charisma is through the roof, and when motivated, he’s one of the absolute best wrestlers in the world. He’s already incredibly popular among main roster audiences, and with the right booking, there’s no reason he can’t be WWE Champion by the end of the year.

A mysterious, enigmatic character, Nakamura would be an excellent MITB winner, though it might make sense for his first WWE Title victory to come through a hard-fought match, not a cash in. Regardless, Shinsuke should make in-roads towards the top of the card after concluding his business with Ziggler, and Money In The Bank may just come at the perfect time.
