10 Electric Wrestling Matches That Saved Pay-Per-Views

2. HBK vs. Razor Ramon (WWF Summerslam 1995)

The main event of Summerslam 1995 was one that no fan really wanted to see. Having won the King Of The Ring tournament, the massive Mabel was in line to challenge Diesel for the WWF Title, something which didn't really inspire confidence that the show was going to be one to write home about. Perhaps realising they had to pull something out of the bag to entice more fans to tune in, the WWF had Shawn Michaels battle Razor Ramon in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Title. This was a repeat bout from WrestleMania X in 1994, one which had been roundly lauded as one of the best matches ever, so there was bound to be sufficient interest. As it turns out, there was, and the match would end up being the one true highlight of the whole Pay-Per-View. Other matches had Bret Hart facing Isaac Yankem D.D.S, and The Undertaker against Kama, so Razor vs. HBK was like a breath of fresh air.
