10 Fantastic WrestleMania Matches You Totally Forgot
6. The Brain Busters vs. Strike Force - WrestleMania V
Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard are considered one of the best tag teams of the 1980s, but are mostly remembered for their time as part of the legendary Four Horsemen stable in Jim Crockett Promotions. The pair however spent a year in WWF under the name The Brain Busters, managed by Bobby The Brain Heenan, and certainly made their mark in a short space of time. Strike Force, on the other hand, were an excellent babyface team of Tito Santana and Rick Martel, and when the two teams faced off at WrestleMania V, it promised to be a great mix of styles. The match unfortuantely didnt quite go the way Strike Force wanted, and Martel walked out on his partner, leaving Santana to face the brunt of The Brain Busters alone. What is essentially a handicap squash match might not sound like a great forgotten match of WrestleMania history, but its a fantastic showcase of The Brain Busters legitimate toughness, as they give Santana a brutal spike piledriver for the win. It also sowed the seeds for Rick Martel to become increasingly self-serving until he became known as The Model, one of WWFs most memorable characters of the time.
