Vince McMahon went back and forth on the finish to Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks at Hell In A Cell 2016. Originally, Sasha was supposed to win, but that plan changed the day of the show. McMahon also had to be talked into letting the match headline the pay-per-view by Triple H and other officials.

Sasha vs. Charlotte did close the show, but WWE edited two major spots out of the bout. One of them remains a bit of a mystery, but the other? Oh boy. Apparently, Flair was going to perform a death-defying moonsault from the top of the cage, which would’ve been really, really risky. That got scrapped.

Ric Flair spoke about this on Busted Open Radio shortly after the PPV, and suggested that Vince himself had pulled the spot before it happened. That was probably for the best. Charlotte and Sasha were already making history as both the first women's HIAC bout and the first female PPV headliners, so a big dive wouldn't have been needed.

Banks would've been just as much of an injury risk as Flair.
