Lending further legendary status to the 1992 Royal Rumble match is that it was loaded up with an elite class of icons. Although entry to WWE's Hall of Fame can be subjective and at times ridiculously exclusionary, it's still a mostly-reasonable barometer of who was truly relevant in the industry.

To no one's surprise, more than half of the 1992 entrants are in the Hall. In order of entry, you have Ted Dibiase, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Tito Santana, Kerry Von Erich, Greg Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff, Big Boss Man, Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Jimmy Snuka, Randy Savage, Col. Mustafa (Iron Sheik), Hulk Hogan, and Sgt. Slaughter. That's not counting presumed future inductions like The Undertaker, Davey Boy Smith, Rick Martel, and others.

The undercard boasted Hall of Famers in The Legion of Doom and The Bushwhackers, as well as likely future inductees in Earthquake, Jim Neidhart, and (if the stars align) Owen Hart. In other words, the 1992 Rumble had some real star power in it, to say the least.
