Survivor Series in general creates the chance for some unusual combinations, for wrestlers that never partner up to, well, partner up. Case in point, the 20-man tag from the 1988 edition, with many truly gifted talents taking part in the same match.

So many wonderful technicians were on hand, from Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard to The British Bulldogs. The good guys were certainly not short on talent, as two future icons were aligned for one night.

The babyface side of the ring saw The Rockers and The Hart Foundation as teammates, which means that Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart were tag team partners. It remains the only pay-per-view match in which Michaels and Hart ever teamed up. Little would anyone realize that nine years later, the two would be on opposite sides of perhaps the most infamous occurrence in professional wrestling history (and we'll get there soon enough).
