9. Cesaro Was Originally Planned For The Pre-Show Match

WWE threw in an additional Survivor Series elimination match for the kickoff show, featuring some talents ordinarily too valuable to leave off of the main card. Wrestlers like The Miz, Neville, Cody Rhodes, and The Dudley Boyz were deemed designated curtain jerkers that night.

Another star of considerable renown was to have joined them: Cesaro. According to The Wrestling Observer, Cesaro was more than likely to have been part of the babyface team, only to be replaced when it was revealed that his shoulder was in bad shape. It wasn't clear whether Titus O'Neil or Goldust was ultimately the replacement.

Cesaro ended up needing surgery on his rotator cuff. He wouldn't return to in-ring action until shortly after WrestleMania 32 the following year.
