In much more recent times (and under much less uncertainty) comes Paige’s maiden Divas Championship win on the Raw the night after WrestleMania XXX.

Paige had initially shown her face in order to congratulate AJ Lee for winning at WrestleMania and thus setting a record with her 295-day title reign. But she got a lot more than she’d bargained for when AJ took offence to Paige’s intrusion and demanded a match with the NXT upstart.

Hesitant at first, Paige soon changed her mind after a cheap shot from AJ, as well as the announcement that the champ would be willing to put her Divas Championship on the line.

I’m sure you know where this one’s going. A short match ensued in which the champion dominated much of the opening exchanges, only for Paige to reverse AJ’s Black Widow finisher and hit the Paige Turner to score a sensational 1-2-3.

This of course meant that the Brit had both made her debut and won her first title on the very same night (April 7, 2014) in front of a raucous post-WrestleMania crowd. Again, you could argue her NXT momentum played a part, but this was nonetheless an awesome moment both on the night and in the long-term history of the company's women’s division.
