4. This Quest To Destroy The Shield

Did you know? Drew McIntyre has been involved in multiple plots to take down The Shield. "Dogs Of War" in 2018 and...whatever this group with Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley was called the following year. Both bids failed, of course, but McIntyre did get a WrestleMania match out vs. Roman Reigns out of it.
The trio even headlined Fastlane 2019 vs. The Shield before that. On TV, Drew, Baron and Bobby claimed they were the only three guys capable of taking Roman, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins out. Nobody believed it, but WWE became obsessed with the thought of heel collectives trying to destroy The Shield.
This was WWE's version of the "Alliance To End Hulkamania" in a way. Various heels lined up to take a pop at the babyfaces. In 2013, things panned out a different way. The Shield were heels themselves back then, and that's why this supergroup formed...
