Taya Valkyrie's career is a lot like Willie Mack's in that she too was signed to a WWE developmental deal at one time but was released before she could make her official debut.

She also got her big break in Lucha Underground as a result of her time in AAA and was introduced as the girlfriend of Johnny Mundo. Along with Jack Evans and PJ Black, the group known as Worldwide Underground wreaked havoc in the Trios Championship picture and aided Mundo in his pursuit of the Lucha Underground Championship.

Taya in particular stood out because she was one of the women on that roster who made intergender wrestling believable. Her matches with Ivelisse, Cage, Sexy Star and Jeremiah Crane were some of the best of the second and third seasons of the show.

During her time off from the show, she signed with IMPACT Wrestling and was positioned as one of the lead heels of the Knockouts division from the get-go. Although she was off IMPACT TV for the better part of the year that followed, she picked up right where she left off upon her return, entered a rivalry with Tessa Blanchard over the Knockouts Championship and ended up winning the title.

She has since shattered almost every record as Knockouts champion and is still going strong to this day.
