Considering they've had most of their success as a tag team since leaving Lucha Underground, it's only appropriate that Pentagon Jr. and Fenix are included in the same selection.

Interestingly enough, the only time they were ever linked in Lucha Underground was when the show first started and Fenix had scored several victories over Pentagon. As amazing a team as they would have been five years ago, it was smart for the company to highlight their strengths as singles competitors, and both men were incredibly over as a result.

Fenix basically became Lucha Underground champion on a whim toward the beginning of Season 2 when he cashed in his Gift of the Gods Championship on longtime rival Mil Muertes. It took a lot longer for Pentagon to reach the pinnacle and win that title, but once he did on the Season 3 finale, it was glorious.

Collectively, The Lucha Brothers had better matches than anyone else in Lucha Underground for the four years the show was around for. Their popularity in the Temple followed them everywhere they went from that point forward including IMPACT, AAA, and MLW.

In each of those promotions, The Lucha Brothers clinched tag team gold and cemented their status as one of the greatest tandems in all of wrestling.

It was hardly a surprise when they signed with AEW earlier this year, where they've already had an unforgettable feud with The Young Bucks.
