Much like Drew McIntyre, life outside of World Wrestling Entertainment seems to suit John Morrison better. As Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground he has greatly improved, and both the location and schedule of that company has allowed the former Johnny Nitro to explore other career paths as well.

Despite looking like a WWE main event performer and having athletic ability for days, Morrison never seemed able to break the glass ceiling that WWE decided for him. There were hints that it could happen, but occasional main events and secondary championships were his lot.

Being outside of WWE suits Morrison best. He is killing it in LU, whether as a babyface throughout Season One or as the prick heel he is in Season Two.
