10 Former WWE Stars Who Must Return For One More Match

9. Sting

Why It Should Happen: After decades of wrestling in other promotions, Sting finally made the jump to WWE and wrestled in a big time match at WrestleMania 31...and lost. His match with Triple H, while entertaining thanks to all the shenanigans involving DX and the nWo, was marred by the result. This was Sting's first and, as of now, only match in the company. Why did he have to stare at the ceiling for The Game? It was a terribly short-sighted booking decision. Now WWE should do Sting a solid by booking him in another high profile match and having him get the duke. Of course, the match most people want to see if Sting versus The Undertaker. It's a bout that has been discussed for years. Unfortunately, if it were to happen at, say, WrestleMania 32, it would be a good five, if not ten years too late. Still, regardless of the quality of the action, it's a spectacle that fans want to see. Should a match with The Phenom be vetoed, there are plenty of other ways that the WWE could use Sting and no shortage of other opponents. What Are The Odds: Pretty good, you'd think. Sting and WWE will be eager to promote The Vigilante's forthcoming DVD/Blu-ray, which just so happens to be coming out around the time of this year's Survivor Series. Could WWE begin building up Sting's WrestleMania match at the November supershow, as they did last year? Sting looked good in his match with Triple H on March 29th. For a man of 56 he was in impeccable shape and moved around well. He should still be in good condition by the time 'Mania 32 rolls around. WWE need all the help they can get in selling out the 100,000+ capacity venue. It would be surprising if the WCW icon didn't get a call.
