10 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return In 2018

A 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame inductee, Beth Phoenix recent made her way back to WWE screens first as a commentator in the Mixed Match Challenge, then by featuring in the women's Royal Rumble, though she wasn't spotlighted.

Beth was a great women's wrestler at a time when the division was no more than an afterthought. Had she come along 10 years later, she'd likely be a megastar, and the prospect of prime Phoenix mixing it up with the likes of Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks sounds fantastic. Sadly, her best work took place in a marginalised era, but her contributions were still strong enough to leave a significant mark on the wrestling business.

If Beth can still go between the ropes, then another in-ring run is a no-brainer. If not, an announcing role would suit her well. With WWE pushing their women stronger than ever before, it makes sense to have a female voice in the booth. Phoenix is doing a solid job in the Mixed Match Challenge, and brings a lot more to the table than the Byron Saxtons of the world, so why not give her a spot?
